Introduction
Version 1.1 was released on 21 October 2015. This contains improved formatting with each section starting on a new page. This prevent separation of the section caption from text and photos. The new version has the different cover with dark blue background shown here.
Since 2002 Ian has sent a bird of the week email to a growing number of people, now about one thousand, around the world. Each email focuses on a particular species with beautiful photos and interesting facts about birds and their behaviour and life history presented in his clear and humorous style. Come with him as he travels to remote parts of Australia and to South Africa, Alaska, Borneo and Portugal in search of unusual birds.
This ebook compiles all the bird of the week instalments in the period 2002 to 2009. The result is a book of 80,000 words, equivalent to a typical novel, with many hundreds of photos. It is designed for ease of use with an index to all the species, links to additional photos on the birdway website and other relevant websites.
